Political Provocateur

If you, like me, have an irrational hate of celebrities who speak out for political causes, you’ll love this new fake PSA from celebrities who are “defending” health insurance executives. And by “love” I do mean, of course, “despise.”

First of all, the satirical video isn’t funny at all (considering it comes from a website called “Funny or Die,” I’m assuming making the video humorous was a goal. Epic Fail there).

Second, the video just doesn’t make sense. The central argument against the public option is NOT that we need to protect the insurance company execs, but that a government takeover is wrong for so, so many fundamental, philosophical reasons.  Basic gist is, big government is bad. That has nothing to do with execs.

Besides, I wonder if the celebs in this video really honestly know what they are talking about. If they did, they would know that in fact, a lot of health insurace execs are actually helping Obama with his healthcare plan.
